Elevate Your Dinner: Delicious Steak Frites with Peppercorn Sauce
Steak frites with peppercorn sauce … but it’s completely vegan using Sgaia original vegan steak
The easiest way to use our steak has to be for steak frites, all you need is your Sgaia steak, chips & whatever extras you like - we went for tomatoes and a classic peppercorn sauce 🙌
For your vegan peppercorn sauce you’ll need:
- Half a large Shallot
- 1 Garlic glove
- Olive oil & butter
- 200ml Vegan beef stock
- Soya cream (until you get the colour you like)
- 2 tsp black pepper (more or less to taste)
- Salt to taste
Method:
Sauté finely sliced shallots in butter and olive oil, adding in a dash of salt after a few minutes. Sauté garlic in the same pan and add vegan beef stock (optionally deglaze with whisky or brand) & let this reduce for a few minutes and then add soya cream and pepper and reduce until you get our desired consistency - Adjust salt and pepper to taste and enjoy ⭐️
