Plant-based Savoury Crepes with Sgaia Streaky Bacon Rashers
Today, we're diving into the world of savoury crepes and crafting our very own vegan garlic mayo.🍴✨ Get ready for a flavour explosion! 💥
Ingredients:
For the garlic mayo:
🥣Aquafaba (chickpea water)
🧂 Black Salt
💛 Mustard
🥂 White Wine Vinegar
🌻 Vegetable oil
🧄 1 garlic clove
For the crepes:
🌾 Flour
🥣 Aquafaba
🌱🥛 Oat milk
For the filling:
🌱🥓 Smoky Flavour Vegan Bacon Rashers
🍄Mushrooms
🧅 Onion
🌱🧀 Vegan cream cheese
🧂 Salt and black pepper
Cooking steps:
1️⃣ Take half of the aquafaba and put it in a blender with some black salt, mustard, white wine vinegar and one garlic clove. Start blending and slowly add vegetable oil until you get that creamy consistency of mayo. 🧄🍽️
2️⃣ Chop some mushrooms and one onion. Fry the onion for a few minutes until it gets transparent and then add the mushrooms. Add some salt and pepper and keep frying until they're soft. 🍄🧅
3️⃣ Sizzle our Streaky Rashers for 1-2 minutes on each side and then remove them from the heat. 🌱🥓
4️⃣ For the crepes, add oat milk, the remaining aquafaba and flour and then whisk until everything is well combined. Melt some butter in a frying pan and cook the crepes! 🥣🥞
5️⃣ Time to stuff our crepes! Spread some vegan cream cheese, our Streaky Rashers and the mix of mushrooms and onion over the crepes. 🌱🧀 🥓
6️⃣ Fold the crepes in quarters, fry them up for a couple of minutes on each side, and serve them along with the garlic mayo. 🥞✨
